We’re going to try to get as much done as possible this week. I’m sure Halloween and the amount of sugar the kids have will have an effect on this! I’m sure we’ll manage. Also, remember that Wednesday, November the 1st is an early release day for the students. They will get be released at 11:30.

Guided Reading: Guided Reading will continue with practice on a readers’ theater.

Word Work: Syllables. This is a great help in student writing.

Math: This week the students will be introduced to subtraction through problem solving and using different math tools to solve.

Writing/Social Studies: We begin our study of American Symbols. This will cross over to our writing.

Spelling: we, there, can, an, your   The spelling test will be on Friday.

October 31-Tuesday- This is not a party day; however, the students will be allowed to dress-up.

November 10-Veteran’s Day Luncheon/Secondary Cafeteria/Open to any community veterans and families.

November 10-No Pep Rally
