Hi, my name is Kimberly Benson. I have been married to my high school sweetheart, Robby, for 32 years.  We have 3 wonderful children. Devin (31)  is a 2004 White Oak graduate. After graduating from Texas Tech and Physicians Assistant School, she is now a PA here in Longview. She and her husband have our 2nd granddaughter, Gertie Grace and grandson, Patton. Avery (29) is a 2006 WO graduate. She graduated from Letourneau University and earned her master’s degree from UTT. Avery  has our 1st granddaughter, Aubri and grandson Jackson. Zack (27) is a 2008 WO graduate and after serving 4 years in the United States Marine Corps, is now married and lives in Washington with his own construction business. You can’t tell  I am proud of them, can you?

I am a 13 year Roughneck, as are all my children. I graduated from UT Tyler with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies/Early Childhood. My first year of teaching was done in kindergarten at Union Grove ISD. Every year since then has been here at White Oak. I have taught kdg for 3 years, 3rd grade for 1 year, Multiage 1st/2nd for 7 years, and 1st grade for 13 years.  I am very proud to teach here at White Oak and continue to be a proud Roughneck.

Little Known Facts:

I used to live in Washington DC and Okinawa, Japan while my husband served in the USMC.

I have shook hands with Princess Diana and Prince Charles.

I drove a school bus for 3 years.
